In a complete revamp of the top ranking professional institutes of India, Narendra Modi government has planned to set up separate regulators for ICAI, MCI and other professional services.
In a fresh move the Narendra Modi-led BJP government has put forward a proposal to do a complete revamp of top level supervising bodies of the country, which at the same time act as representative bodies.
This move from the government has come in order to remove any conflict of interests in their current roles.
Among other bodies, the following institutes will also undergo a change in system:
- Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
- Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)
- Medical Council of India (MCI)
